Adding rice to your next stir-fry or serving of grilled fish could help you eat less calories overall! People who consume a minimum of a fourth-cup of rice daily take in an average of 54 fewer calories a day than those who don't dish up the grain, according to research at Iowa State University. Chalk it up to its usual plate-mates, such as veggies and rice or as a side to healthful entrees. And, unlike other sides like potatoes, we don't top them with high-cal condiments like butter or sour cream.
